Support Worker Jobs Thatcham – LD

My Client is a national company that provide supported living for people with learning disabilities.  They are currently seeking 2 support worker jobs seekers to work in one of their services in Thatcham , near Newbury, Berkshire.   Hours are 30 hours per week plus sleep ins.

This service is a set of 7 separate flats, within one house.   The 7 service users that live here have mild to moderate learning disabilities, and are all relatively independent.

As a support worker, we are looking for individuals with experience in working with individuals with learning / physical disabilities and associated complex needs.

You will be supporting people with everyday tasks in life to further individual’s independence and arranging and participating in social activities etc. If you have limited or no experience, it is not a problem, training will be provided.

The most important skills you can bring to us are life skills – patience, commitment, initiative and understanding.

Applicants for these positions must be drivers with their own car

Rates – £7.25 per hour. Shifts either 7am to 2.30 pm or 2.30 pm to 10 pm.   Sleep ins are paid at a rate of £25.00 per night and are 10 pm to 7 am.
