Senior Care Assistant Job Birmingham

CareTech Community Services is a leading provider of services to adults, young people and children with learning disabilities.

We are looking for a senior care assistant job seeker or team leader to work in one of our 24-hour residential homes, supporting service users who have learning disabilities and mental health problems including autism, and may have very challenging behaviour.

You will provide care which focuses on the needs of the individual but also promotes independence and choices and maximises the quality of life to our service users.

Whilst the ideal senior care assistant candidates will have experience of working within a similar environment your personality and attitude are equally important. The behaviour of the service users can be very challenging and an adaptable and understanding nature are key to success, however the personal rewards more than outweigh this.

The successful candidate should have experience of working with adults who challenge service provision. Applicants should also hold an NVQII qualification in care and be willing to undertake NVQIII. The role of Team Leader requires motivation, dedication, good organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.

The ideal candidate will need to be a driver with their own car as this role will involve working between 3 sites.
