Deputy Manager – Residential EMI
Elderly Residential Home
Salary: £20,000 – £21,000
Job Location: Darlington

We are currently recruiting for a deputy manager for a medium sized residential home for the elderly based in Darlington.

The home:
A medium sized independently owned, family ran, residential home for the elderly. The home has an established and we trained team in place with a highly rated CQC inspection report.

The Deputy Care Home Manager Job Role:
This is a fantastic opportunity for either a current deputy manager or a team leader to step up to a more managerial level. This position will be challenging but rewarding for the right candidate.

There will be many varying duties incorporated into the position of deputy manager including:

• To assist in the day to day operation of running the home
• To participate as required in multi disciplinary assessment of service users and subsequent planning of service user care.
• Define special care needs and monitor and review.
• Liaise with professional care organizations in respect of developing total package of care for service user.
• Report to Registered Manager weekly activity levels for service users.
• Participate in training.
• Provide written reports on complaints, accidents and incidents.
• Health and safety.
• Review meetings.

The Person:
You must have experience working within a residential care setting; you will possess excellent organizational and side strong time management skills. You will also be qualified to a minimum NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care with a desire to exceed CQC standards.
