Description for Regional Care Manager Job Kent

Our Client is one of the UK’s largest national care providers. Passionate about providing quality home care services for people in their own home, they strive to provide the highest level of care and are a well established, reputable and expanding business.

They are seeking to recruit a highly experienced regional care manager to oversee the management and staff in the field and develop their services in the South East region covering South East London, Berkshire, Hampshire, Surrey, Kent, West Sussex and East Sussex.

This is a highly focused and hands on role and has particular accountability for the implementation of business development, identifying and developing new and existing relationships alongside providing excellent customer service and consistent high quality care.

Reporting to the national live – in director you will manage the South East region, lead and manage a motivated team and support their career development. The regional manager will need to be familiar with the standard required for CQC and will be required to become a registered manager, this will entail being submitted for a current RMA award. They will also have the knowledge and experience of working within the care or charity sector; have strong ethical standards and first class business management, leadership and managerial skills.

Key accountabilities:

• Meet the needs of existing clients and look for opportunities to move into new business areas.
• Support the strategic business plan to grow the region by identifying new business and developing wider relationships.
• Responsible for budget management.
• Improve profitability for the region and achieve/exceed business targets.
• To set and perform against agreed key performance indicators.
• To implement and demonstrate a high level customer service ethos to ensure clients are dealt with promptly and with the highest level of professionalism on every occasion.
• Lead by example, providing clear management and leadership whilst promoting and developing team spirit.
• Be primary point of contact for all managers.
• Implement best practice for people and procedures.
• Responsible for the management and supervision of staff to enable them to maximise their potential, through leadership, coaching, example, support and guidance.
• Provide regional reports on KPI’s and business performance.
• Deliver regular regional team meetings.

Candidates will be ambitious and self motivated, excellent communicators, inspirational leaders and have the ability to make a difference commercially and with their people. They will ideally be in a similar area or operations manager post and have regional management experience within the care or charity sector.
