My Client, a successful and expanding healthcare provider, is currently seeking to employ GP’s to work across three sites in the Norwich, Norfolk area. Main Prison GP Job responsibilities include:
• to manage the caseloads of the facilities, in partnership with other practitioners
• to ensure quality outcomes for patients and carers
• act as an accountable General Practitioner, managing clinical care and facilitating general management through partnership with the management team.
• performing routine medical examinations on patients referred by the nursing/professional staff
• providing medical treatment consistent with the provision of primary health care services
• providing high quality personal medical services
• responding to medical/health problems presented by patients
• providing management of long term conditions in line with national guidelines and pathways
• prescribing generically for patients as appropriate
• providing appropriate health promotion
In addition to clinical responsibilities, there will be non-clinical, leadership and educational duties to undertake in accordance with the role.
The role will be based within secure facilities, dealing with a diverse and challenging client portfolio. Due to some service users being treated for addictions, applicants to this post must be RCGP 1 qualified as a minimum. RCGP Part II would be advantageous.
