PICU Staff Nurse – London

HCL Permanent is looking for an experienced Paediatric Intensive Care Nurse for a prestigious private hospital based in West London. Our client is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic nurse to work in their Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).

The hospital is internationally renowned for clinical excellence, and the successful candidate will be working within an excellent and dynamic team.

General Responsibilities:
• Direct Liaison with Consultants
• Providing tailored nursing care to children receiving surgical and medical treatments, as well as step-down care for children returning from ITU/ ICU/ HDU
• Communicating with all Consultants and members of the multidisciplinary team
• Recognising signs and symptoms of a deteriorating patient and dealing with it accordingly
• Provide advice and information to patients and relatives
• Provide support to the Sister in Charge

Requirements:
• RCN/RSCN registered with the NMC
• 1 year PICU/ NICU experience
• PICU course desirable (or similar)
• Ability to prioritise workload
• Keen to learn new skills and embrace change
