Pharmacy Technician Moray – NEEDED ASAP!
Duties
Pharmacy Services shall be required whereby the level of services may fluctuate according to demand, during the period of the contract. The standard weekday Pharmacy services are required to be provided during the hours of 0800 hrs to 1200 hrs although these hours may vary on certain weekdays. The normal working day is geared to a 20-hour week. You will be required to provide the following;
Ideally the Pharmacy Technician should have previous experience in General Practice and MOD and have a working knowledge of DMICP and P2P.
Display a proficiency in the custody and administration of accountable and controlled drugs.
To provide Pharmacy Services to all registered patients during normal working hours.
To Liase with the Practice Manager or SNCO on all matters of service administation when required.
Inform the Practice Complaints Manager (Practice Manager) immediately if a patient makes a complaint regarding their treatment or any aspect of medical administration.
The Locum should be conversant and comply with the Station Health and Safety Policy and have responsibilty under the 1974 Health and Safety at Work Act. The management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1992 and other associated regulations.
To report all accidents, injuries and near miss dangerous occurences to the Practice Manager.
To provide specialist advice as appropriate to the Senior Medical Officer in order to allow appropriate risk assessment to be made.
To be able to, or be willing to learn the IT ordering system in place and utilise the current stock rotation policy procedure.
To be actively involved in clinical audits and significant event analysis.
Be willing to mentor junior members of staff and advise them appropriately on all Pharmacy matters.
To be pro-active in assisting the JNCO implement policy procedures within Medical Stores
