Live in Carer Moor Park

Bluebird Care provide long-term, live in care and support to customers in their own home, across various areas of Hertfordshire and Buckingshamshire.

Personal assistants are there to provide support and encouragement to enable the customer to lead an independent lifestyle within their own home. As the personal assistant resides in the customer’s home it is important that they recognise the importance of respecting the customer’s right to make choices and to their privacy. Personal assistants are there to assist the customer in maintaining their lifestyle in a safe and secure manner.

The personal assistant is not on duty 24 hours a day and is afforded time off during the day when their services are not required. This is normally in the afternoon but may vary according to the customer’s needs.  Working patterns vary, but you typical work patterns usually consist of 2 weeks on, 1 week off, OR 3 weeks on, 1 week off, or sometimes permanently.  It really depends on the customers requirements.

Personal assistants are also not on call throughout the night and are expected to be able to retire once the customer is settled for the night so they are able to commence their duties the following morning.

By its nature live-in care requires personal assistants to reside in the customer’s home. They should ensure they know the house rules and respect the privacy of the customer at all times.
