Homecare Worker – Bristol

Medacs Healthcare urgently requires Homecare Workers in Bristol.

We are currently recruiting in home carers to work with elderly members of the community, who suffer from a range of mental and physical conditions.

Based in the areas of South Gloucestershire, Filton and Patchway, the successful candidate will be offered full time flexible hours between 07.00 and 22.00 and will be offered a varied shift pattern, which includes weekends. You are expected to have good availability and be able to work flexible hours. However as you become more accomplished within the role your shift pattern will gain regularity and be better suited to you.

Benefits

£7.50 – 8.50 per hour (Monday-Friday)

£9.00 – 9.75 per hour (Saturday-Sunday) plus enhanced Bank Holiday Rates

Free CRB (refunded after 100 hours worked)

Free Professional Training (a flat fee of £70 is paid to you for training and shadowing)

Essential Requirements

Full drivers licence and access to car.

6 months care work experience (with supported references – this can be private care experience for a family member, verified by GP, community nurse, payslips or similar).

Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.

Flexibility of working hours.

Expectations

Your main role will be to deliver personal care e.g. washing, toileting, dressing, medication prompts and meal preparation.

Previous care worker training and/or NVQ’s in Health and Social Care are desirable, but not essential.
