Healthcare Assistant- West Yorkshire

We require an experienced HCA for a permanent position based in West Yorkshire.

Job Summary

To work under the indirect supervision of the lead Nurse delivering high standard care in a safe environment that meets the patients’ needs whilst maintaining privacy and dignity.

Desirable Skills

• Undertake collection of pathological investigations including venepuncture, MSU, wound swabs, suture removal
• Record ECG’s at GP’s request
• Basic dressings as required
• Ordering/maintaining stock levels in treatment area
• Assist with minor surgery
• Triage
• Manage review clinics
• Spirometry testing
• General Health promotion
• Ear irrigation
• Maintain adequate records of consultations in patients notes in a clear and timely way
• Input patient medical data on computer
• Undertake collection of data required by the Practice & QOF
• Attend and participate in Integrated Nursing Meetings as required
• Have regard for patient confidentiality at all time
• To work within the agreed practice protocol and policy
• Assist in the implementation of care according to individual care plan
• Continuously develop own skills and knowledge

Hours: 12 hours per week (mornings), permanent position.
