Our client is a small group of nursing homes in the south Wales area. They are dedicated to providing the highest level of support to their residents and pride themselves on the standard of care within their homes. They are currently recruiting for a clinical lead Manager for their 43 bed nursing home in the Marshfield area which is located between Cardiff and Newport.

You will report to the registered manager and be responsible for the clinical team. Your main responsibilities will be:

• Direct line management of all Nursing staff within the home.
• To be involved in recruitment and the induction of new staff when required
• To be involved in the discipline of staff where required
• To manage the clinical care within the home according to the legal framework
• To communicate all relevant information with the Registered Manager and wider management team as appropriate
• Identify training needs and participate in staff development and individual performance review/ appraisal as required by the registered manager.
• Take ownership of the assessment of service users care needs, developing, implementing and evaluating programmes of care.
• Be accountable for the monitoring and maintenance of the clinical standards of care practised throughout the Home at all times.
• Write and maintain plans of nursing care based on this assessment that take medical requirements into account and involve the Service User and the family where applicable.

You will be a registered general Nurse and will ideally hold NVQ4/5 or RMA qualifications and have experience in a similar role. The ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in care of the elderly and an ability to relate to elderly people.
