Salary: £40000 – £42000 benefits
Description: We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated leader to manage this specialist children’s Nursing Service. The home is dedicated to providing Nursing Respite care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for up to 24 young people aged between 5 – 21 years old that have profound learning & physical disabilities coupled with complex health needs including epilepsy.
As the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for all aspects of care and support, demonstrating commitment, flexibility, excellent communication skills and personalised support to meet the needs of individuals we support. You will liaise confidently and effectively with the nurses, staff team and network extensively with families, advocates and professional agencies to promote our vital work. During times of nursing shortages, you may be required to be on call and pick up nursing shifts being fully involved in personal care.
You must be passionate about delivering high quality care, and be knowledgeable about the requirements of Ofsted, CQC regulations and all relevant regulatory requirements. Experience in managing and supervising a large staff team is essential and you will have a sound knowledge of budget management. You will be experienced in working with young people with complex health care needs and possess an in-depth clinical knowledge of the client group.
Person Spec: You must hold a current nursing qualification (RSCN, RNLD or RGN) with pediatric experience and ideally possess a Registered Managers Award as well as an NVQ4/SVQ4 in Health & Social Care or Leadership & Management or possess an NVQ3/SVQ3 in Health & Social Care and be eligible to complete the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care.
